Exploring Economics in Barcelona
Barcelona, Spain is one of the greatest regions on the globe for people to trade and invest. The main way Barcelona's economy continues to grow is by tourism, fashion, media, and the delicious food. One of the reasons tourism is such an essential part of Barcelona’s economy is because Barcelona is one of the most visited cites in the world. Very similar to New York City and other cities around the world, Barcelona has become famous for fashion and has now received the nickname, “The Fashion City.” Clearly fashion has become a very popular piece of society today, since New York City is one of the largest cities in the world and fashion is a large factor that represents this city. Furthermore, this is extremely beneficial for Barcelona’s economy, as it contributes for even more than its beautiful culture. In recent years, Barcelona has also grown to become well known for its companies thriving in the current economy. On top of this, Barcelona has now seen a large increase in companies that have come to the city and build their businesses. What many are aware of is the fact that the more companies that come and create jobs in the area, the more the increase in the money flow. Despite the growth of the economy and the increase in the number of companies coming to Barcelona, the tax rates are at a high level. This creates a problem in some cases as these expenses are tough for many of these companies to face. In many situations, people from all over the world think of Madrid as a huge city which it is, however, Barcelona has made a name for itself economically and continues to strengthen in this area of their culture. While Barcelona's economy has gone through periods of turmoil, it is a great example to many other cities around the globe of what a successful and flourishing economy is defined as. |
